Contribute to the Archives’ COVID-19 Collection!

Earlier in the year, the Archives announced the creation of a COVID-19 Collection, and just as a reminder, we are still collecting, and would love to see your contributions!

We are living through an unprecedented moment in history. Future generations of the Western New England community will want to understand what life was like living through a global pandemic. Your experience is important. Your feelings, actions, and reactions during this time are significant to history. The Western New England University Archives wants to hear your stories.

Are you creating art, writing stories, journaling, composing music, taking photographs? Please consider donating your work to the University Archives to be preserved for generations to come so that all can look back and learn from your current experiences.

Please contact Tracey Kry at theresa.kry@wne.edu for information about donating your work.

Welcome, Fall 2020!

The University Archives would like to extend our warmest welcome to all new students, faculty, and staff, and all returning students, faculty, and staff as well!

Many things have moved online this semester, such as classes, meetings, even social events. And fortunately, the University Archives is online as well! For those of you new to campus, check out the University Archives Digital Collections and learn more about the history of your new home. And for everyone returning to campus, if you’ve already checked it out, check it out again! We are always adding new material, so you are sure to find something new!

The University Digital Archives can be found here.

The Rope Pull, a fun start of the semester tradition of the 1950s and 1960s, and perhaps a tradition that should be reinstated next year!

Enjoy, and welcome back!
